Robert Lundquist has been working professionally full time as an artist in the valley since 1992. Rob pioneered the large wall mural technique of combined brush painting and airbrushing for a finer more realistic result some 16+ years ago when he painted a prehistoric mural in the Courtenay District Museum. Ever since then Rob has been painting murals all over the Comox Valley and abroad inside and out for business and residential alike. In addition to wall murals Rob is one of the first and only custom car and motorcycle airbrush artist in the area. Rob started painting Harley Davidson tanks and fenders back in 1987 and continues to paint them today at a world class level worthy of magazine features.

Before murals and airbrush came along Rob had already become an accomplished canvas painter in Oils, Acrylic and now adds watercolor to his list. Painting any subject Rob can work with the ideas of the client to produce a fine piece of art that will please weather it is a commercial Illustration or for an individual.

Going back to the roots of Rob’s artistic beginnings it all started with a pencil at the age of two. Eventually pencil turned to charcoal where fine portraits were perfected and many were produced long before he graduated in 1985. Rob still takes on commissioned portraits in both charcoal and oils.

As computers came into their own Rob was quick to learn the new tools. Using 2D and 3D graphics programs he is able to produce building concepts from many different angles that bring on a very realistic look for the client long before the project ever starts. Rob also will do other graphic projects such as poster layouts and broachers etc.., including web site layout and design.
